Solace is a 42 sq m nail salon located in a peaceful, residential area of Warsaw. the design concept revolves around creating an "urban sanctuary" - a gateway offering clients respite from the city's frenetic pace.
To embody this idea of escape from modern chaos, we kept the interior calm and muted. Nude colors, abundant textiles, and a non-cluttered aesthetic establish a serene atmosphere. However, to add intrigue, we decided to make the flooring a focal point.
we embraced responsible design through organic cotton curtains, reused offcuts, and durable, recyclable natural materials.
we initially planned to use stone offcuts for the floor but couldn’t source them in time. By chance, we found a pile at a market, and the generous owner gifted them to us—these became a distinctive feature of the space.
