a full renovation of a 109 m² apartment on wiśniowa street in warsaw's historic mokotów district has been completed by Bureau29. the project was conceived for a young couple and draws its opening inspiration from an unexpected source: the street's name itself. wiśniowa, cherry street, set the colour and emotional register for everything that followed.

The building is a fine example of early 20th-century modernist architecture, with graphic lines and curved decorative details that informed the interior language from the outset. The strongest conceptual thread came from the clients: a deep passion for wine, its colours, its materials, its world. Bordeaux and cherry, two warm and sensual tones, converged into a single palette of dark red and rich timber.
